KAILUA-KONA — Hawaii Air National Guard F-22 Raptors from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam were at the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole training this weekend.
The training focused on logistical capabilities needed should the aircraft be diverted to alternate airfields in the Hawaiian Islands.
Between flying sorties, the public was able to view the F-22 Raptor and speak with airmen. It was the first time the Raptors have been on Hawaii island.
